Alaskan Huskies are medium to giant size and strong, often independent, domineering and difficult to manage.

Trainability: These dogs require firm control and must be properly trained. Formal obedience training should include a proper socializing program.
With Children: Good with children.
Other Pets: Alaskan Huskies do wonderful with other pets because they hate being left alone.
Climate: Does wonderful in cold climates.

Exercise Required: Alaskan Huskies need a fair amount of exercise, but should not be excessively exercised in warm weather. They need a large yard with a high fence.
Grooming Required: The Alaskan Husky required weekly care and grooming. Grooming consists of not only brushing out the coat and bathing but also giving attention to the eyes, teeth, ears, feet and nails.
